The Short Story-Novella Anthology includes excerpts from short stories and novellas by fourteen authors awarded with the National Award for Short Story-Novella during the period from 2010 to 2018, while the Anthology of Poetry includes poems by twenty authors, awarded with the National Award for Poetry during the same period.

The publication of the Anthologies was initiated in order to create the necessary infrastructure for the promotion of the National Literature Awards institution, and to facilitate the translation and promotion of the award-winning works of contemporary Greek authors in other languages. The effort has already bore its fruit; as of today, the translations of both Anthologies in Russian and Italian have already been published, while translations in German, French, Chinese and Portuguese / Brazilian are currently under preparation.
